Here the welds are all ground down smooth. Pretty much :) Shouldn't take much filler over this area though to make things perfect. Look at the area just above the tire where the old meets the new. Notice the square crease on the lip of the wheel well on the old metal and the rounded edge on the new metal. Luckily I dont' have to make these two match up. Also, I notice that there seems to be quite a hook in the opening just above where the vice grips are haning nearest the tire. In pictures of other cars on the web I see some like this and some that seemd to come straight down instead of hooked like this one. This doesn't leave a lot of room between the tire and the wheel well.
