After sandblasting the firewall I noticed that some holes appeared and there was some bad pitting in the area just under the dash. Trouble is that it was in the area of the VIN plate and I couldn't cut out all of the pitted area without cutting out that plate. So I did as much as I could. This is how it looked on the inside behind the steering wheel.
