I spent half a Saturday making this piece to fit snugly against the outside of the inner rocker. Luckily, before welding it in place I clamped it and tried fitting the next piece over top of it only to discover it wouldn't fit. Ih had found a video on YOUTUBE of some Australian auto body shop's rebuild of a 62 Impala was actually showing me the right way to make that extension. I had previously thought that they had taken a shortcut because it didn't resemlbe what I had done on the passenger side, but I found out later that I had to copy what they had done. S,o I built this piece for nothing.
